five for friday

I'm going to try something new...whether or not I have a regular blog post, every Friday I'm going to post 5 random photos from the week.  Perhaps that will be the best way to give everyone a quick little update about what is going on with us, even when I fall behind with the blog.  The photo above - it's been a very cold week here, so we've been stuck inside all week.  I introduced Milan to shrinky dinks...she LOVES them.

Christmas 2012 - The Aftermath

We spent Christmas day at home.  We wanted to relax and let the girls play with their new toys.  They played hard and it turned out to be a great day.

They spent nearly the entire day in their new dress-up dresses.

Milan's new kid camera.  It takes pictures (quality not so good) and can take a beating.  Perfect for a five year old.  She hasn't asked for mine, since!

We found this toy castle in Disney World and had it shipped home.

First time driving the new jeep.  They loved it!  I had to wake Paloma from her nap because we wanted them to have a chance to drive it before dark, but she wasn't quite ready to wake up.

Christmas 2012

I'm still trying to get the blog caught up.  Here are a few pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.  We had considered attending a Christmas Eve service, but changed our minds at the last minute.  The girls wanted to wear their dresses anyway, so I let them.  Christmas morning as you can imagine, was a lot of fun.  The girls screamed when they saw the presents, but what was really nice was the fact that they were also very excited to GIVE the presents they had chosen for others.

Disney World Vacation - Part 4

After leaving Disney, we spent the weekend with friends, right outside of Tampa.  The weather that weekend was gorgeous and our hosts really went out of their way to show us a great time.  We spent the days on two different beaches.  The second of which, was only accessible by boat.  The girls loved playing with their daughter, Finley, and made what I hope will become a lifelong friend.
