Paloma, An Update

I wanted to post a little update about Paloma Belle.  She really is just a wonderful little girl.  She still likes to pitch her fits, but it's ok, because she is still very cuddly and affectionate.  She is ALL about her Mommy (poor James gets ignored quite a bit) I swear she would crawl back into the womb at night, if she could.

Things Paloma loves:  Mommy (of course), does seem to be warming up to Daddy a bit more, a big fan of her sister, Milan.  She loves preschool and her teacher Ms. Mary, her little preschool friend, Mia, hummus and pita, cereal bars, muffins...anything sweet.  She loves to play with princess dolls and fairies.  Loves to watch Dora and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  She loves princess and tinker belle movies.  She loves to be read to and still needs a book in her bed to help put herself down.  She is really attached to her blanket right now, which she has nicknamed "blank".  She still loves to dress up, play with her dollhouse and her "dollies".

Things Paloma does not like:  most food (very picky right now),  doesn't like to color so much (but I think it is her age), getting out of the bathtub, not being allowed to choose her own outfit (right now I select two outfits and she can choose which one), any color that is not pink or purple.

Recent Paloma quotes:

Whenever James asks her to do something with him or for him - "the only answer is Mommy"

"Mommy, I'm not going to leave you when I grown up, I'm gonna stay here and help you cook"

One day when I asked her what was the matter - "Nothing's the matter Mommy, I don't have a matter"

She knows all of her shapes & colors and can count up to 13.  She has been able to pedal a trike since she was two and a half.  She can recognize her written name.

She attends preschool two mornings a week, and is still enrolled in her once a week music class.  This summer she will attend camp (preschool turns into a summer camp during the summer months) two mornings a week and is excited to begin swim lessons (taught at camp).  I'm also planning to take a break from music class and enroll both Paloma and Milan into a little gymnastics class this summer.  In the fall, she will follow in her big sister's footsteps and begin taking a creative rhythm dance class.

She's a lot of fun right now, I just love her to pieces!
