1st Pumpkin Carving

Ok, Milan WATCHED as James and I carved the pumpkins. She was slightly amused and very bewildered by the whole process. She enjoyed playing with the pumpkin pulp and seeds for about two minutes before she desperately wanted her hands washed. She also didn't like sitting next to them for too long.....

Phillies Day!

Recently, the children at Milan's school showed their team spirit by supporting the Philadelphia Phillies. I wonder what Milan was thinking - her father and I do not watch baseball..... :)

We're Back From Idaho

Milan and I enjoyed a wonderful month visiting my family in Idaho. Since our return a couple of weeks ago, we've been busy moving and unpacking. I have two more rooms to unpack before I can officially consider myself DONE. In the meantime, I wanted to say hi, and let you know that I hope to post photos from our trip sometime over the weekend.

Blog Vacation

In two days we will be leaving to visit my family in Idaho for a few weeks.  Immediately upon our return we will be busy moving and settling into a new home, so this will be my last post for several weeks.  Enjoy the rest of the summer...we will be back late September/early October!

Enjoying the Summer

Just a quick update to say we are alive and doing well.  I can't believe we are nearing the middle of August already, summer has flown by!  Milan continues to stay busy *helping* her Mommy around the house.  She attends school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and we try to go swimming on the days she is home.  Her vocabulary is really expanding and it seems she does something new each day!  Although Milan is currently in a stage I find to be exhausting, I can't help but think this is my favorite stage so far!

School Friends

Ok I'll admit it, lately I've been really lame about taking pictures of Milan.  I suppose I'm still trying to come to terms with my newly pregnant, un-employed status.  I've been a little preoccupied, not to mention I haven't had the energy to carry my camera and chase around a 20 month old who has absolutely no interest in having her picture taken.  But never fear,  that doesn't stop me from using a few photos taken by one of her teachers at daycare!

With all of the current changes as well as those still coming, it's really important to me that Milan feel as little interruption to her life as possible.  She really enjoys going to her little daycare and spending time around the kids she has known for nearly a year and a half.  Because of this, James and I have to decided that although I've been laid off, we will continue to have Milan attend her little school, but reducing her down to just two days each week.

Funny how she will pose for pictures at school, but not for me!
