Busy Bees

To say my little girls are busy, would be a great understatement. At times, they play with such intensity, it takes me by surprise. Especially with Paloma, it feels so strange to watch her play. Wasn't it just a couple of months ago, she was hanging out watching from the sidelines?

Paloma now spends quite a bit of time on her knees. Twice, she has pulled up to a standing position, but for now, she prefers her knees.

Milan is all about her babies. She likes to put them in their stroller and take them for walks around the house. Recently, they have started to visit "the naughty spot" for "no listen".

Milan insisted I take a picture of her baby.

It's official, we have a crawler! She likes to travel all over the house and she's FAST!

Paloma is no longer interested in her baby toys, she likes to play with Milan's big girl toys. :(

My days may leave me exhausted at times, but they are also so much fun!

Eight Months Old

I can't believe my little ladybug is 8 months old. Not only did she turn 8 months today, but she also cut her 1st tooth! It's been quite a busy week for our little Paloma, she took two "crawling" steps and managed to pull up to her knees...all within the last couple of days. All I can say is this, "Paloma, PLEASE SLOW DOWN"!

Paloma's Turn

These photos were taken about a week ago. This particular night, we had an early dinner so that James could take Milan swimming. I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures of Paloma using the beautiful, soft, light that happens during the evening hours. Unfortunately, I'm not able to take advantage of this light often, as it falls in the middle of our dinner, bath, and bedtime routines.

Dorothy, Daisy, and Sam

We would like to introduce the newest members of our family - Dorothy, Daisy, and Sam. Last weekend we selected our first (and only) pets! Milan was SO excited! Everybody knows Elmo has a pet goldfish named Dorothy, and now, so does Milan!

She was so serious at the pet shop, but once she was handed her fish in a bag, she couldn't stop staring at them. I think she really was amazed by them.

Once we returned home, she helped Daddy prepare the fishbowl and drop the fish in. She really enjoyed feeding then for the first time. They live on a countertop in our kitchen, but at meal times, we place them on the table and enjoy them as we eat our meals.

The Trike

Friday evening, the entire family set out in search of Milan's first tricycle. She had a wonderful time trying them out in the store. We finally decided on one and let me tell you, it was love at first sight!

After Daddy put it together, we all went outside to watch Milan ride for the first time. It didn't take long for her to figure out what to do, she did a great job!

James and I both got a little emotional watching her, we just can't believe our baby girl is now proudly riding her first bike (as she likes to call it)!

Paloma really enjoyed watching the show, too!

After awhile, Daddy decided to show Milan another way to ride her bike...brings back memories!

She's wanted to ride every evening since...
