Story Time

Recently, Milan has taken to reading out loud to her babies. On this particular day last weekend, she gathered up her lovey, Elmo, Zoe and a boppy pillow, parked herself in an out-of-the-way place and read to them for nearly 30 minutes. Occasionally I would hear her pause and ask either Elmo or Zoe if they were ok or needed a snack. Did they want to read the story again? She was so engrossed, I was able to sneak around and snap several pictures before she became aware of my presence.

Oops..she caught me!

She insisted I take a photo of Zoe....

...and one of Elmo, too!

7 Months - Part Two

So after a little break, I brought Paloma back outside, and tried again to get a few pictures to represent her seventh month.

Still obsessed with the grass...

Completely obsessed with the grass...

Paloma, will you please look at Mommy? Please?

I finally captured this shot. For some reason after giving her a bath earlier in the day, her hair decided to stick straight up. I even tried to dampen her hair in order to tame it...didn't work.

Finally decided to bring her inside where there were no distractions. Tried to tame her hair again and got these...

7 Months - Part One

Yesterday Paloma turned 7 months old. As we do each month, we began our monthly photo shoot, however, it wasn't long before I realized this time was going to be much different. Paloma was so busy looking at everything...she wouldn't cooperate at all.

Wow...look at the grass...

It feels really neat.

Let me poke it with my finger.

Absolutely fascinating

No way am I going to look towards my Mommy, this is just too interesting.

What's chirping over there?

Oops, my Mommy caught me looking.

Those are really neat cars!

Is that a squirrel I see over there?

I think I see an ant on the blanket.

That bush is really pretty.

What is Milan doing over there?

I really like the leaves on the trees.

I think I feel like touching the grass again...

Paloma are you kidding me? I've been trying to get a picture of you for the last half hour and when Milan swoops in with her Elmo camera you decide to look up???

A Trip to Sesame Place

Last weekend we took Milan to an amusement park themed around her favorite (only) television show, Sesame Street. Part of me wondered if she still wasn't a little too young to really enjoy the experience, but she certainly proved me wrong, Milan had a great time!

Daddy decided he couldn't handle any ride that went in circles, which meant Mommy had to ride all rides except for one.

We were shocked to discover Milan had absolutely NO fear when it came to any of the rides.

Not even this ride, which had Mommy a little nervous...

James said she laughed the entire time...

After lunch we found a spot to take in the daily Sesame Street parade. As we waited for the parade to begin, Milan decided to use the time to have a meltdown (she was hot and tired)...boy did we get the stares from other people, but once the parade started, she really enjoyed it and clapped along at times.

Elmo was the "rock star" of the entire show.

Zoe is one of Milan's favorite characters, too.

Mommy and Milan waiting in line for another ride. It was a very warm day and our wait times lasted between 30-40 minutes....she did a great job!

Daddy and Milan enjoying ice cream at the end of the day.

Milan with her new Zoe and Prairie Dawn dolls.

Haha...I can't help but compare this photo to the first at the top of this post...she had a LONG day!
